Hershman has earned the designation of Certified Relocation Professional (CRP™). CRP is a professional designation awarded by the Employee Relocation Council (ERC). Hershman earned the designation after successfully completing the CRP exam held on May 17, 2006.

The Employee Relocation Council, also known as Worldwide ERC®, is a professional membership association comprised of individuals concerned with domestic and international employee transfer. The CRP program was introduced in 1990 to formally recognize Worldwide ERC members' knowledge of the entire relocation industry. CRP requires awareness of residential real estate and appraising, corporate relocation policies and issues, relocation tax and legal issues, and family relocation issues. In addition to maintaining Worldwide ERC membership, each CRP must earn 30 recertification credit hours within each three-year period following certification to maintain their designation.
